About the DCW Companies

The DCW name represents the singular vision of its founder and principal, Andrew J. Drucker. A native of New York, Andrew first developed the concept of the DCW Companies while practicing law as an attorney with a large, nationally-recognized Philadelphia law firm. After a short period of time in the practice of corporate business and transactional law, Andrew quickly realized that his aspirations for creating successful businesses would never be realized by servicing clients as an attorney. Andrew then left Philadelphia and relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where he began his first foray into the business world. Andrew’s first venture was the opening of a large, franchise-branded, child-care center that soon became a highly successful operation with 30 employees and annual sales in excess of $1,000,000. Following this critical first step, Andrew then opened a second franchise location of this same brand and enjoyed even greater success. Andrew then continued the development of several additional centers and by 2012, Andrew had opened and operated 6 franchise locations in and around the greater Charlotte Area. Between the years of 2007 and 2013, while running his existing businesses and bringing new locations into operation, Andrew began the process of negotiating the individual sales of each of his centers to the Learning Care Group, Inc., the parent company to Tutor Time. By the end of 2013, Andrew had generated total lifetime sales in excess of $30,000,000 from all of his franchise locations and had sold the last of his businesses to Learning Care Group.

As the developer and owner of his 3 most recently-built franchise locations, Andrew was able to secure long-term leases with Learning Care Group and currently enjoys a successful relationship with that company as his commercial tenant in those buildings. Following the success he achieved on the real estate development side of his Tutor Time Franchises, Andrew decided to put more time and energy into the growth of his real estate acquisition and development business. In 2012, Andrew created DARGA Real Estate Holdings, LLC and began buying distressed properties around the Charlotte Area. DARGA now owns 26 single family homes around Charlotte and Andrew expects to increase the number of residential rental units within the DARGA portfolio to 50 units by 2017. DARGA has also begun making investments into Multi-family properties as well and has expanded outside of Charlotte to outlying counties including Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Rowan, Union and Watauga.

In addition to his real estate development and acquisition operations, Andrew has also begun offering and providing business consulting services to clients in several different industries. His new venture, DCW Consulting, offers several types of support services to individuals and companies in a variety of areas such as child-care and educational consulting, human resource and human capital consulting, legal and real-estate consulting, as well as advice and direction on successfully buying and selling businesses.
